Advent Greeting from Harrison Stuart, Head of School
We are well into our celebration of advent at Episcopal School of Nashville. The frost covered decks are draped in garland, magnolia leaves, and blue ribbons. The children are now bundled up for recess everyday. The past two weeks have been a celebration of Hope and Peace in our daily chapel services, and I find myself at times in complete awe at how far we have come as a school community in just one and a half years.
One of the wonderful aspects of a second year is the beginning of school traditions. School culture should be rich with tradition and ours is flourishing. As I walk the decks, I think about our Parent Association. For two years they have embraced our school’s celebration of Advent by coming together to green the campus. Christ Church Cathedral continued to graciously donate greenery. I like to think that for the children, perhaps, all it will take is a simple needle of balsam fir to bring them back to the place of their formation. This is just one of the small traditions we are creating here.
Thank you for your interest in Episcopal School of Nashville. Your support means the world and gives us genuine hope and a peace of mind to know that you are with us as we build a new tradition of education in Nashville. Come see us soon!
