Dear Episcopal School of Nashville Parents/Guardians,
It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I write this welcome back to school letter as your child’s Principal at ESN. I am truly honored to accept this role and look forward to continuing our work with our Head of School, Dr. James Jordan, as well as each one of you, in our efforts to do whatever it takes to advance the achievement of ALL students on our campus. Working together, I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a high quality and enriching school experience.
We have excitedly prepared for the upcoming school year and are convinced this will be a GREAT YEAR! We are evermore committed to providing the best education possible to our ESN Purple Martins. As we embark upon another school year, ADMIN is eager to continue to work towards excellence and to provide each of our students a high-quality education. This education will provide our students with the skills necessary to be a successful student and career ready adult. Our goal is to establish positive school culture and climate, and to foster the physical, social, and emotional characteristics in our ESN students. As teacher leaders, we continue to deepen our understanding of the newly revised Standards in English Language Arts, Mathematics, the Career Readiness & Development Framework, and best practices in delivering ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science with fidelity & integrity.
We are thrilled to welcome back many of our outstanding staff and to welcome our new colleagues to ESN. No matter which teacher our students have, we believe that each one of you has the potential to “Exceed Great Expectations”. Your ADMIN team is committed to providing the leadership that will facilitate & create a positive work and physical environment where employees demonstrate professionalism and feel valued and respected. We are confident that our school will continue to be a place where our teachers and students can grow and learn.
The EC, LS and MS years are important and critical times for students. What happens during these years will have a lasting impression on their academics and whole child development. We know that each one of you are committed to being the best that you can be and we are thrilled to have an opportunity to work with you.
Feel free to stop in and say hello, as our doors are always open. If there is anything, we can assist you with, please let us know.
All the best,
Dr. Deatrice Swett, Principal
