Bio Robert Black
Episcopal School of Nashville is an independent co-educational Pre-K through middle school, serving students of diverse ethnic, cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. Robert Black

Robert grew up in the Inglewood-Madison area and attended St. Ann’s Church as a youth, where his parents were members and church leaders for decades. Robert is a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy, the University of the South (Sewanee), and holds a masters degree in educational leadership from Concordia University-Portland. He began his career in education soon after graduating from college and has remained in the education sector ever since. Robert has been a teacher, a coach, an independent school administrator, and now serves as the Associate Vice President of Advancement at Sewanee, responsible for the major giving, planned giving, and annual giving programs respectfully. Robert’s career includes stops at Sewanee, TMI Episcopal in San Antonio, TX, Montgomery Bell Academy, and back to Sewanee since 2007. Robert’s wife, Kelley, currently presides as the Associate Head of School and Academic Dean at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School. Kelley and Robert enjoy a son, Aubrey, who currently attends Sewanee and a daughter, Jenna, who currently attends St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School.
