Dwight Johnson to Visit ESN

Dwight Johnson, Youth Director from Preston Taylor Ministries, joined us in Chapel today. He shared about his great love for children and youth and the blessing of being given the opportunity to work within the PTM community, walking with and empowering young people as they explore their God-inspired dreams.

Preston Taylor Ministries seeks to empower children to overcome their struggles by seeing past what is right in front of them. They link children up with caring adult relationships, tutoring services, and spiritual formation to offer support to these children.

Founded in 1998, PTM came to face head-on issues arising in the Preston Taylor public housing area, dealing with such issues as drugs, gangs, teenage pregnancy, illiteracy, poor school performance, and crime. In an effort to bring hope to the children and families in this are, PTM began offering services “for building life-changing relationships including tutoring, mentoring and fun events.”
