Intermediate School Talks Matter

From our Intermediate School

We take a problem-posing approach to education. That means emphasizing critical thinking for the purpose of transformation. Teachers and students learn together in an atmosphere of hope, love, humility, and trust. For us, knowing is grounded in our own individual experiences and circumstances. We explore the world through history and culture to see how reality is shaped by our beliefs. We make connections between our own conditions and the conditions produced by this shaping of reality. We consider ways we can shape reality through our own methods of knowing. Our reality is collective, shared, and shifting. We develop our academic skills by putting our ideas into print and into action. We become empowered through the act of knowing and work to destabilize disempowering beliefs. We have fun!
